The 3-Step Course Creation Loop
Creating an effective course takes about 30 minutes if you follow this structured approach. The goal is to maximize engagement while minimizing cognitive overload.
1. Define the North Star
Create the Course outline. What is the one specific skill the user will have at the end? (e.g., 'Writing a Legal Compliance Prompt').
2. The 'Micro-Learning' Modules
Break the North Star into 3-5 Modules. Each module should take no longer than 8 minutes to read. Use DocuForge to mix video, text, and code blocks.
3. The Sandbox Assessment
Link an existing PromptForge Lab template as the final assessment. The user must beat a baseline 'Quality Score' to pass.
Use active voice in your module content.
Embed short (2-3 minute) Loom videos for difficult concepts.
Require an 80% passing score on the final assessment.
Write 10-page essays for a single module.
Create multiple-choice tests (they don't measure prompt engineering skill).
Skip the prerequisite mapping if the course is advanced.
